Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Working at our clients busy manufacturing site in Hamilton we are looking for an Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their already established team. Working as part of this proactive maintenance team you will need to be a team player with a keen eye for detail and ideally have worked in a medium to heavy industry setting. There is a wide range of machinery on site from robotics, conveyors flow wrappers through to large industrial boilers and compressors. Duties of this Mechanical Maintenance Engineers Role: Provide an Mechanical engineering service to the production team to achieve minimal down time Proactive for carrying out planned maintenance duties Insuring you are commercially aware of budgets to ensure there is the right amount of spares Look at ways to continuously improve efficiencies and downtime Collect and compile all data as requested To encourage and motivate trainee fitters and apprentices and offer assistance Maintaining and working in a safe manner, highlighting any safety concerns Qualifications required for Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Minimum of a level three Mechanical engineering qualification Experience within a manufacturing maintenance department Heavy to medium industry Some PLC knowledge would be an advantage Benefits of this Mechanical Maintenance Engineer’s role: Two days on, two nights on and four off £56800 per annum (includes shift pay) 21 days holiday Company pension Free on-site parking Maintech Recruitment - Engineering Great Careers!
