Location: Rotherham
Salary: £25,500 £26,900 per annum
Additional Earnings: £3,000 £9,000 per year from sleep-ins
Hours: 08:0022:00, 39 hours per week (long day shifts plus sleep-ins)
Contract: Full-time, temporary with the opportunity to become permanent
Driving Licence: Full UK Driving Licence required
About the Role We are recruiting full-time Childrens Residential Support Workers to join residential homes across the Rotherham area. You will be supporting children and young people with severe learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs within a safe, structured, and family-style environment.

No Experience Needed
Previous experience isnt essential. Full training and support is provided, including:
Full induction programme
Funded qualifications
Ongoing training, coaching, and development
This role is ideal if youre starting a career in care or looking for a change. There are genuine progression opportunities, with many managers having started as support workers.
Key Responsibilities Provide a safe, caring, and supportive home environment
Support children and young people with daily routines and activities
Act as a positive role model and build strong, trusting relationships
Encourage independence, confidence, and life skills
Take part in activities such as sports, gaming, days out, and hobbies
Support with household tasks to maintain a clean and welcoming home
Provide personal care where required
Promote emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour
Requirements Full UK Driving Licence
Caring, patient, and resilient approach
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins
Ability to build professional and supportive relationships with young people
Makaton or BSL skills xwzovoh are desirable but not essential
