Procurement Systems and Process Lead Location: Head office is Poole but flexible working from home with occasional onsite as required by client Pay: £500-£600 per day- Outside IR35 Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: Initially 3- 6 month contract with scope it could be extended or option to be FTC up to 24 months Client Sector: Charity Job Overview The role ensures that procurement processes, data, controls, workflows, and reporting are fully optimised, standardised, and embedded into the new ERP environment.

The postholder acts as the subject matter expert (SME) for all procurement‑related system functionality during implementation and transition to BAU.
Key Responsibilities Act as Procurement SME for all ERP procurement modules (eProcurement, S2P/P2P, contract management, sourcing, supplier onboarding, catalogues, workflows).
Work with ERP vendor, system integrator, and project teams to design end‑to‑end procurement processes.
Translate business requirements into system specifications, configuration needs, and design documents.
Ensure the new system supports best practice commercial and compliance standards.
Map, document, and re‑engineer procurement processes, ensuring simplification, standardisation, and alignment with organisational policies.
Identify automation opportunities and define workflow and approval structures.
Develop process documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
Ensure auditability, transparency, and regulatory compliance within system processes.
Lead procurement data cleansing, migration preparation, and validation activities.
Define data governance requirements (supplier data, category structures, item master, contract records).
Work with BI/reporting teams to design dashboards and reporting outputs (KPIs, compliance, spend analytics).
Qualifications required MCIPS or significant years experience in an ERP implementation role Experience required Significant experience in procurement process design, systems, and ERP environments.
Strong understanding of Source‑to‑Contract (S2C) and Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) processes.
Hands-on involvement in an ERP or procurement system implementation (e.g.
Dynamics 365, Workday.).
Ability to translate operational procurement needs into system and workflow requirements.
Strong analytical skills and ability to manipulate and validate data.
Experience creating process maps, SOPs, training materials, and user guides.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement.
Suitable for someone who This role is ideal for someone who works well in a team, stays calm under pressure, and takes a pragmatic approach to problem‑solving.
