Senior Payroll Administrator | £30,000- £33,000 + Study Support | Chorley + Hybrid | Rapidly-growing, PE backed business | Progression routes available
Axon Moore are proud to be working alongside a rapidly-growing, PE-backed business in Chorley as they recruit Senior Payroll Administrator. This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity for someone looking to take the new step in their payroll career and become a key support to the Payroll Manager.
The successful candidate will have a good level of payroll experience and will be familiar with payroll software and payroll related legislation. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to process large volumes of data quickly and efficiently.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Support the full end-to-end payroll process for multiple payrolls across the group
Ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries, bonuses and deductions
Prepare and process payroll changes including starters, leavers, salary changes, statutory payments, deductions and other payroll adjustments
Assist with the administration of pensions and benefits within payroll
Support the administration of P11Ds and payrolling of benefits, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in line with legislations
Review payroll reports and identify and discrepancies
Respond to payroll queries from employees and internal stakeholders
Support HMRC matters related to payroll, including RTI submissions, P60s and other year-end payroll activity
Assist with payroll journals, reconciliations and payroll-related reporting
Support the introduction and implementation of legislative changes
Undertake and ad hoc payroll administrative duties as required
Required Experience and Skills:
Previous payroll experience, ideally 3 years’ experience within a payroll position
Studying or willing to study CIPP qualification
Knowledge of UK payroll legislation, pension schemes and HMRC requirements
Excellent attention detail
Confident written and verbal communicator
Exceptional organisational skills
Good knowledge of payroll software and Excel
