The Opportunity

A well-established manufacturing organisation based in Bournemouth is seeking a Production Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement and operational efficiency are key priorities.


The Role

Reporting into the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and improving manufacturing processes across the site. You will play a hands-on role in driving efficiencies, resolving production issues, and supporting new product introduction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and optimise production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost
  • Support new product introduction from concept through to full-scale production
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (lean manufacturing, waste reduction, etc.)
  • Investigate and resolve production and process issues in a timely manner
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including SOPs and work instructions
  • Work cross-functionally with design, quality, and operations teams
  • Monitor KPIs and contribute to performance improvement strategies


Candidate Profile

  • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related xwzovoh Engineering discipline
  • Proven experience in a production/manufacturing engineering role
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
