About the role
Your new company
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Estate Assistant to deliver high‑quality estate services across our communities. You will play an important frontline role, providing professional cleaning, gardening and grounds maintenance services while positively engaging with customers, colleagues and contractors.
This is a mobile role requiring a full UK driving licence.
Your new role
Delivering a high‑quality, cost‑effective cleaning, gardening and grounds maintenance service in line with agreed standards and timescales
Representing the organisation on site, building positive relationships with customers, colleagues and contractors
Maintaining estate grounds to specification and reporting issues such as fly tipping, graffiti, repairs and safeguarding concerns
Recording customer feedback and contributing to service improvements
Safely operating, storing and maintaining equipment in line with Health & Safety, COSHH and PPE requirements
Keeping company vehicles clean, safe and compliant at all times
Accurately recording work completed, inspections and activity to support service charge accountability
Supporting the training and development of apprentices
Identifying and appropriately reporting safeguarding concerns
What you'll need to succeed
Essential:
Proven experience delivering grounds maintenance across a variety of sites
Knowledge of lawn care, shrubs and plant maintenance
A strong customer‑focused approach with a proven track record of customer satisfaction
Ability to carry out physical tasks safely and in line with Health & Safety requirements
Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, including COSHH and PPE
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Confidence using equipment safely and effectively
Full UK driving licenceDesirable:
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Horticulture (or equivalent: RHS, City & Guilds, HND)
PA1, PA4b and PA6 NPTC certificates
Experience using mobile working devices (e.g. tablets)
Knowledge of safe and compliant use of horticultural pesticides and fungicides
