Assistant Hub Manager - Specialist Intensive Worker Hub Location: Cambridge Road Centre & Park House (covering Hart & Rushmoor and East Hants) Hours: 37 hours per week Contract: Initial 6 months We are looking for a passionate and motivated Assistant Hub Manager to help lead our Specialist Intensive Worker Hub in the North East of Hampshire. This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team delivering intensive, targeted support to families with complex needs. Our aim is simple but powerful: to help children remain safely at home with their families and achieve lasting positive change. About the role As Assistant Hub Manager, you will work closely with the Hub Manager to provide operational leadership, support high-quality practice, and drive continuous improvement across the service. You will lead, support and develop a team of Intensive Workers, while also contributing directly to practice through a small caseload and your involvement in complex decision-making. You will also act as deputy to the Hub Manager, providing leadership and oversight when required. What you'll be doing Leadership and team development Support the day-to-day leadership of the Intensive Worker team across Hart & Rushmoor and East Hants Line manage and develop staff, fostering a positive, high-performing team culture Lead team meetings, facilitate peer supervision, and hold personal and case supervision for up to 14 Intensive Workers monthly, providing quality assurance. Identify training and development needs and support staff to build confidence and capability Ensure consistent, high-quality practice across the team Work collaboratively with co-located specialist professionals (e.g. CAMHS, Inclusion), providing support and coordination within the team.Case management and practice leadership Hold a small, complex caseload, delivering effective, strengths-based interventions Provide advice and guidance to staff on casework decisions and challenges Support the management of safeguarding and child protection concerns, escalating as appropriate Deputise for the Hub Manager in case discussions, panels and multi-agency meetingsService coordination and delivery Oversee the allocation and prioritisation of cases based on need and staff expertise Coordinate specialist parenting assessments and ensure high-quality reporting Support the delivery of targeted interventions across the districts Ensure cases are progressed and closed in line with service standardsPerformance and improvement Support performance monitoring, reporting and analysis of service activity Work with colleagues to develop innovative approaches and improve outcomes for families Promote reflective practice and continuous improvement across the team About you You will be an experienced practitioner with a strong track record of working with children and families with complex needs. You'll bring a passion for relationship-based practice and a drive to deliver meaningful, lasting change. Essential knowledge and experience Strong understanding of the statutory framework for Children's Services, including Levels 2-4 interventions Experience working with children and families facing complex challenges Experience of coordinating support and working within multi-disciplinary environments Sound knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities, thresholds, and best practice approachesSkills and abilities Confident leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop others Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across agencies Strong organisational and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to manage competing demands High-quality assessment and report-writing and reviewing skills Competent IT skills, including case management systems (e.g. MOSAIC) and Microsoft Office Personal qualities Passionate about improving outcomes for children and families Resilient, adaptable, and solution-focused Collaborative and committed to partnership working Dedicated to high standards of practice and continuous improvement Additional requirements Ability to travel across Hart & Rushmoor and East Hants to meet service needs This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check What we offer A supportive and forward-thinking leadership team Flexible working arrangements where possible Reflective monthly supervision An experienced well-established team Connect2Hampshire is a trading style of Hampshire & Kent Commercial Services LLP - A joint venture between Hampshire County Council & Commercial Services Kent Ltd.
