About the role

The Community Engagement Manager leads day‑to‑day community engagement, events and programmes, ensuring members receive a high‑quality, inclusive and supportive experience. The role combines team and volunteer management, event delivery, and membership onboarding and retention, using insight and feedback to continuously improve community services. Description Lead the planning and delivery of a varied programme of in‑person and community events, ensuring high quality experiences from conception to post‑event follow‑up. Act as the primary point of contact for members and prospective members, handling enquiries related to membership, events and services with professionalism and empathy. Design and oversee a welcoming member onboarding journey, introducing new members to events, programmes and community life to support retention and engagement. Use membership data, CRM insights and feedback to shape event programming, improve attendance and inform future planning. Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure events are well‑promoted, inclusive and aligned with member interests. Recruit, train and manage volunteers to support events and community activities, ensuring clear roles and a positive experience. Line‑manage and coordinate administrative support to ensure smooth event operations and consistent member service standards. Monitor engagement, attendance and retention, producing reports and recommendations to support membership growth and continuous improvement.Profile Proven experience delivering membership‑focused events and programmes end to end. Strong background in membership services, onboarding and retention. Confident managing volunteers and small teams to deliver consistent, high‑quality outcomes. Excellent stakeholder and relationship‑building skills, with a community‑first mindset. Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Data‑driven, comfortable using CRM insights and feedback to shape engagement strategies. Job Offer Competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £45,000 per annum.
