About the role

Responsible Individual (RI) – Children’s Complex Care – Chichester – £400 per day (4 days per month) We are recruiting for an experienced Responsible Individual (RI) to support a specialist children’s complex care package in Chichester. This is a rare opportunity to work with a high-quality provider delivering bespoke, person-centred care to a 15-year-old within a 4:1 support model. This position offers flexibility, autonomy and the opportunity to provide high-level governance and oversight within a premium complex care setting. The Role As the Responsible Individual (RI), you will oversee the quality, compliance and safeguarding of a single high-acuity package, ensuring the service operates in line with Ofsted regulations and best practice standards. This is a part-time contract (4 days per month), ideal for experienced RIs or senior leaders seeking a flexible consultancy-style role. Key Responsibilities Act as the Responsible Individual (RI), ensuring full compliance with Ofsted standards and regulatory requirements Provide oversight of care quality, safeguarding, risk and governance within a 4:1 complex care package Support and challenge the Registered Manager to maintain high standards of care and service delivery Review care plans, risk assessments and behavioural support strategies (including PBS approaches) Lead on audit, compliance and quality assurance activity, ensuring continuous improvement Build effective relationships with families, professionals and external stakeholders Ensure readiness for Ofsted inspections and maintain ongoing compliance Requirements Proven experience in an RI capacity or senior leadership role within children’s residential or complex care Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and inspection frameworks Experience working with complex care packages (2:1, 3:1 or 4:1 models) Essential experience supporting young people with EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) / SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) Background supporting young people with autism, complex needs and behaviours that challenge Strong governance, safeguarding and quality assurance experience Confident providing oversight, leadership and constructive challenge Package & Benefits £400 per day 4 days per month (flexible) Long-term contract opportunity High-quality, specialist service Location Chichester Some on-site presence required Apply If you are interested in applying for this Responsible Individual position, please click apply or contact Ehsan at Leaders in Care on (phone number removed), quoting the reference number below.
