About the role

We are actively looking to engage warehousing and distribution professionals with a passion for warehousing operations for a new role as a Warehouse Shift Manager in Castle Donington, Leicestershire! Client Details Our client is a market-leading 3PL logistics business with around 61 logistics sites across the world (in Europe, USA and the Far-East). You will be joining a fast-paced environment in a logistics hub around 350k sq.ft. of pallet and racking space with circa 250 colleagues across warehousing and transport Job Description As a Warehouse Shift Manager you will report into the Warehouse Operations Manager on a daily basis and will be responsible for the following areas of responsibility within the Castle Donington, Leicestershire site. * Managing around 80-100 colleagues across an any 5 from 7, AM (06:00-14:00) and PM (14:00-22:00) shift pattern. * Responsible for a warehouse of over 350k sq.ft. with a vast E-Commerce operation and large throughput of goods. * Responsible for the management of 3x Team Managers, 1x Inventory Team Leader and a CI and Stock Control team. * Shift budgetary P&L responsibility, alongside achieving target KPI's and ensuring on-time, in-full delivery. * Motoring productivity and cost targets alongside customer service excellence. * Review processes to identify improvements and lead change initiatives. * Lead talent reviews and management for succession planning. The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will have an expansive background in warehousing operations and will have the following skills & experience: * 5+ years' experience managing warehousing operations * Experience managing in excess of 50+ colleagues * Desirable - SAP and/or Manhattan WMS experience * Ideally NEBOSH / IOSH qualified * Commutable to Castle Donington, Leicestershire on a daily basis.
