We are currently recruiting for a Housing Support Worker for a 3-month temporary placement based in Stoke-on-Trent (ST4), supporting a Life House project delivered by one of our Housing Association clients.

This opportunity may be a strong fit if you have experience supporting adults with complex needs within supported housing or floating support services.

Role Overview

  • Position: Housing Support Worker
  • Location: Stoke-on-Trent (ST4)
  • Contract: Temporary – 3 months
  • Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Pay:
    • £13.79 per hour (PAYE)
    • £17.47 per hour (Umbrella)
  • Disclosure: Enhanced DBS with Adults Barred List (required)
  • Lone Working: Yes

Working Pattern

This role operates on a rolling rota including evenings and weekends:

  • Week 1: 8am – 4pm
  • Week 2: 9am – 5pm
  • Week 3: 2pm – 10pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing support to adults (18+) with complex needs within supported accommodation and/or floating support
  • Managing a caseload of 8–9 service users, delivering approximately 5 hours of support per client per week
  • Delivering person-centred support plans to promote independent living and move-on into permanent accommodation
  • Supporting service users with:
    • Appointments and welfare checks
    • Tenancy sustainment and housing-related matters
    • Benefits support (including Universal Credit and PIP)
    • Budgeting, daily living skills, and community engagement
  • Working closely with statutory and voluntary agencies to xwzovoh prevent tenancy breakdown
  • Maintaining clear and accurate case notes, records, and outcomes in line with organisational policies and data protection requirements

Ideal Experience

  • Experience supporting individuals with complex or multiple needs
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and reporting requirements
  • Confidence working independently as well as within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Flexibility to work on a rota basis
