About the role

We are recruiting a dedicated and passionate Primary Teacher to join a specialist SEMH Primary Pupil Referral Unit in Everton. As a Primary Teacher, you will support KS2 pupils with complex social, emotional and mental health needs by delivering a tailored and engaging curriculum within a nurturing and structured environment. This specialist provision supports pupils across three sites from KS1 to KS4, with the majority of learners holding an EHCP. The successful Primary Teacher will join a highly experienced team committed to helping young people achieve both academically and personally. Primary Teacher – SEMH Provision Location: Everton, Liverpool Pay: Competitive daily rate in line with AWR Hours: 08:00 – 15:00 Start Date: 01/06/2026 (earlier start available) Contract: 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity The Role As a Primary Teacher, you will work closely with pupils who require additional emotional, behavioural and learning support. The Primary Teacher will deliver engaging KS2 lessons while creating a safe, supportive and structured classroom environment that encourages progress and positive outcomes. As a Primary Teacher, you will: * Plan and deliver tailored KS2 lessons with a focus on SEMH needs * Adapt teaching strategies and lesson plans to meet individual learning needs * Support pupils with emotional regulation, engagement and behaviour management * Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, parents, carers and external agencies * Monitor pupil progress and implement targeted interventions where required * Create a positive and nurturing learning environment while maintaining clear boundaries * Contribute to the wider development and wellbeing of pupils across the provision About You We are looking for a resilient, compassionate and adaptable Primary Teacher who is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs.
