Sports Coach – SEN & Alternative Provision Location: Wirral Pay: £93 – £115 per day | Weekly Pay Hours: 08:30 – 15:30 Contract: Temp-to-Perm Opportunity Start Date: ASAP We are recruiting a motivated and passionate Sports Coach to join a specialist SEN School and Alternative Provision in Wirral. As a Sports Coach, you will support KS2–KS4 pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs by using sport and physical activity as a tool for engagement, behaviour regulation and personal development. This Sports Coach role is ideal for individuals with experience in sports coaching, youth work, behaviour mentoring or aspiring PE Teachers looking to build long-term experience within specialist education. You will work alongside experienced teaching and pastoral teams to positively influence young people who face barriers to mainstream education. The Role As a Sports Coach, you will deliver structured and engaging sports sessions while building positive relationships with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support. The Sports Coach will play a key role in promoting resilience, confidence, teamwork and emotional regulation through physical activity and mentoring. As a Sports Coach, you will: * Deliver structured sports and physical activity sessions to KS2–KS4 pupils * Use sport as a tool for behaviour regulation, engagement and relationship building * Support pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviours both in and out of lessons * Act as a positive role model, mentor and consistent adult presence * Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to support pupil progress * Promote physical wellbeing, teamwork, discipline and confidence * Maintain high expectations around behaviour, engagement and effort * Follow safeguarding, behaviour and health & safety procedures at all times About You We are looking for a resilient, energetic and adaptable Sports Coach who is passionate about supporting vulnerable and disengaged young people.
