Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Parts Advisor role based at our dealership in Rainham, Medway. The Parts Advisor will assist customers and workshop teams in identifying and supplying the correct parts and accessories, both over the counter and via phone or email. Responsibilities include checking stock availability, ordering parts, managing inventory records, and ensuring accurate pricing and invoicing in line with dealer management procedures. The role involves maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by providing clear, timely communication and professional advice. The Parts Advisor will work closely with service and sales departments to support efficient vehicle repairs and maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Strong Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills, with a focus on delivering a positive experience in a retail or automotive environment.
  • Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written interaction with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Experience with Dealer Management systems or similar automotive retail software, and basic familiarity with parts catalogues.
  • Inventory Control skills, including stock checking, recording, and organizing parts to support workshop efficiency.
  • General automotive knowledge or previous experience in a parts, service, or dealership role is beneficial.
  • Ability to work on-site in Medway, manage multiple enquiries, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic IT skills (e.g., email, Excel, point-of-sale systems) and strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn brand-specific product ranges and follow company policies and safety procedures.
