A specialist SEMH primary school in Southampton is seeking a full-time Behaviour Support Assistant to join their dedicated and resilient team.
Pupils require consistent, structured support to help them manage social, emotional, and mental health needs. This is a highly rewarding role where no two days are the same, and your support can have a lasting impact on a child’s future.
You will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils both in and out of the classroom, helping to manage behaviour, encourage engagement, and promote positive outcomes.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with challenging behaviour in education, care, or youth settings
- Be calm, patient, and consistent in their approach
- Have strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- Be committed to supporting vulnerable pupils

This is a temp to perm opportunity, securing a permanent position with the school after a successful probation period.
