Signature Recruitment are pleased to be supporting a public sector organisation in London to recruit a Senior Performance and Programme Manager on an interim basis.

This 6-month temporary role offers £37–£41 per hour plus holiday pay. The hybrid pattern involves three days onsite in London and two from home. Following the launch of a new organisational strategy, this role plays a vital part in its success. The focus is on ensuring performance frameworks are effective, aligned, and delivering meaningful insight organisation-wide. The environment is collaborative, with strong emphasis on leadership, communication, and strategic oversight. Working closely with senior leadership, the role helps shape how performance is understood and measured. There is also a clear opportunity to develop a high-performing function over time.

Leading and supporting a small team is central to the position. This brings much-needed stability and direction during a period of meaningful change.

Senior Performance and Programme Manager - Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and evolve the organisation’s performance framework
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to shape performance reporting and insight
• Oversee delivery of performance outputs, ensuring clarity and consistency
• Lead and develop a small team, supporting high-quality delivery

• Drive improvements in processes, tools, and ways of working

Senior Performance and Programme Manager - Key Skills:

• Strong experience in performance, strategy, or business intelligence leadership
• Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
• Experience leading teams and developing functions
• Ability to translate organisational priorities into clear performance frameworks
