This warm and inviting home is located just outside of Northampton. The home provides a safe haven for up to 3 children aged 8 to 18. The home currently has one young person so you will have the opportunity to bring in your own new referrals over time.
The company is well established in the local area, with a number of homes achieving Good and Outstanding outcomes with Ofsted. They specialise in therapeutically supporting young people who have been through ACEs and possible trauma. There is a dedicated and experienced team in place who draw on therapeutic training models, such as PACE, as well as creative approaches, to help build trust and resilience.
As a Childrens Residential EBD Registered Manager, you will be at the forefront, ensuring the children in your care achieve positive outcomes. You will be required to have knowledge and experience in maintaining a residential home, including following guidelines such as the Children's Act, the Children's Homes regulations, and more.
Experience of holding a registration would be valuable, but you could be considered if you are looking to step up into your first registration. Having an excellent understanding of safeguarding is imperative. You will have the support of an admin, recruitment, and compliance team, taking a lead on the time-consuming aspects of your role while still providing you with full autonomy over final decisions.
Salary: £49,000 - £51,000 (Depending on qualifications and experience)
Plus additional £6,000 bonus
Rota: Monday - Friday (Some flexibility may be required, as well as on call responsibilities)

Role of a Childrens Residential EBD Registered Manager
Manage the day-to-day running of the home
Maintain a therapeutic, child-centered environment. xwzovoh
Hold excellent knowledge of Childrens Homes regulations and the Children's Act
Taking a lead on the referral and matching process for new young people
Support with the recruitment and development of your team
Provide training and conduct staff supervisions
Lead team meetings, ensuring support is consistent across the team
Manage the finances and budgeting within the home
Support and build your staff's confidence to ensure positive outcomes
Delegate tasks and lead by example
Maintain excellent safeguarding policies at all times
Manage staff rotas and act as a positive role model to both staff and children
Liaise with social workers, teachers, psychologists and families of the children
Oversee Ofsted inspections and Reg 44 visits
Requirements of a Childrens Residential EBD Registered Manager
Must be a confident leader with a passion for working with children
Must hold a Level 3 or 4 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification in Residential Childcare is desirable
At least 2 of the last 5 years working within residential childcare
Experience supporting EBD, SEMH, and ACEs
Ideally, have experience holding a registration with Ofsted
Must have a valid UK Driving License
