The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced, passionate and driven General Manager to lead the front-of-house team and oversee daily operations. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in a premium hospitality environment and is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of service, financial performance and team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide inspirational leadership to the front-of-house team, fostering a positive, professional and motivated working environment.
Manage all day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless service delivery from lunch through to evening dining and special events.
Uphold and enhance the venue's reputation for exceptional guest experience, handling feedback with grace and implementing continuous improvements.
Drive revenue and profitability through effective cost control, stock management and strategic initiatives to increase average spend and repeat business.
Collaborate closely with the Head Chef/Kitchen team to ensure perfect synergy between kitchen and front-of-house operations.
Oversee staffing, including recruitment, training, rotas and performance development.
Manage supplier relationships, admin processes and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
Play a key role in marketing and promotional activities to attract new guests and nurture loyalty.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Proven experience as a General Manager, Deputy Manager, or Senior Restaurant Manager within a high-quality restaurant or hospitality venue.
A genuine passion for fine food, wine and delivering outstanding customer service.
Strong financial and business acumen, with experience in budgeting, P&L understanding and driving profitability.
Excellent leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to train, develop and inspire a team.
Impeccable communication and problem-solving abilities.
Sound knowledge of health & safety, licensing laws and industry best practices.
