About the Role A prestigious private members club in St James is seeking an accomplished Sous Chef to join its exceptional culinary team. This role is ideal for a chef with strong experience in Mediterranean-influenced or modern European cuisine , refined technique, and the ability to deliver outstanding dishes in a luxury, service-driven environment.
Working closely with the Head Chef, you will help maintain the clubs reputation for excellence, ensuring every dish reflects precision, creativity, and consistency. This is a rare opportunity to join a kitchen known for its high standards, discretion, and elevated dining experience.

Key Responsibilities Support the Head Chef in the daily management of a high-performing kitchen

Lead and mentor junior chefs, ensuring smooth service across all sections

Execute refined, flavour-driven dishes to an exceptional standard

Contribute to menu development, seasonal specials, and culinary innovation

Maintain rigorous food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards

Oversee stock control, ordering, and cost awareness

Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation across all services

Uphold the clubs commitment to a premium, member-focused dining experience

Ideal Candidate Profile Recent experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef in a luxury hospitality environment

Strong background in Mediterranean-style, modern European, or premium brasserie cuisine

Michelin-star or fine-dining experience highly preferred

Skilled in premium ingredient handling, precise execution, and high-pressure service

Confident leading a brigade and maintaining xwzovoh exceptional standards

Strong organisational skills with a calm, composed approach

Passionate about quality, flavour, and delivering memorable dining experiences

Professional, discreet, and comfortable working in an exclusive members-only setting
