Chef de Partie (daytime shifts)

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in a busy restaurant environment. The position is predominantly daytime shifts as we do not do a regular dinner service, just occasional events in the evenings.

*Duties*

* Prepare and cook dishes according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
* Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as grill, pastry, or sauté stations, managing the workflow efficiently.
* Assist in the development of new menu items and improve existing recipes.
* Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times.
* Monitor stock levels within your section, report shortages, and assist with inventory management.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations before, during, and after service.
* Support junior kitchen staff through training and guidance as needed.

* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices for hygiene.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
* Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.

Pay: £13.50-£14.00 per hour
