We have a vacancy for a conscientious person interested in learning the skills required to become

a Trainee Corporate Broker.


Location: The Courtyard, Earl Road, Cheadle Hulme, Stockport, Cheshire SK8 6GN


The role involves learning how to:


  • Advise businesses on managing risk
  • Provide businesses with solutions to deal with risk
  • Design robust, value for money, corporate insurance portfolios so that, in the event of a disaster, a business has appropriate support and financial protection to enable the organisation to recover and prosper
  • Manage corporate insurance portfolios

The initial position is as an Account Manager, supporting Corporate Brokers. Subsequently, a


Trainee Corporate Broker role will be offered to you, subject to you:

  • Performing the Account Manager role to a good standard
  • Being thorough, industrious, ethical and reliable
  • Showing the skills and positive caring attitude required to succeed as a Trainee Corporate Broker
  • Qualifying to become an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII)


A Trainee Corporate Broker’s duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Visiting clients
  • Gathering information
  • Conducting surveys
  • Assessing risks
  • Providing advice
  • Issuing reports
  • Designing insurance portfolios
  • Producing risk presentations
  • Negotiating with underwriters
  • Working with and training Account Managers


We estimate it will take a minimum of 3 years working as an Account Manager to gain the knowledge, experience and ACII qualification before you are ready to progress to a Trainee Corporate Broker role. xwzovoh


Salary: The starting salary will depend on your credentials.


Minimum Requirements

  • GCSE Mathematics grade 5 or B
  • GCSE English Language grade 5 or B
  • Four other GCSEs grade 4 to 9 or C to A*
  • Two A-levels grade C to A* or equivalent qualification
  • 2 years work experience OR 2.1 degree or equivalent qualification, or forecast to achieve such a qualification
