The rate per hour: £35.00
- £45.00 per hour inside IR35 / umbrella The role: As the Tooling Engineer, you will be accountable for designing, developing and managing the manufacturing / commissioning of the tooling
- to ensure on-time, high-quality products.
Your expertise in engineering principles and tooling design will directly contribute to this project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop advanced tooling solutions to support manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify tooling needs and integrate solutions seamlessly into production workflows
* Conduct tooling feasibility studies, cost analysis, and performance evaluations to drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Utilize CAD software to create detailed designs and specifications for tooling components
* Train and mentor production staff on proper tooling usage and maintenance procedures
* Evaluate and integrate new technologies that can streamline processes and improve overall productivity Requirements
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Catia) and engineering analysis tools
* Strong understanding of materials and their properties related to tooling applications
* Ability to analyze complex engineering problems and develop effective solutions
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
* Deep expertise in tooling design and manufacturing
* Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies, such as additive manufacturing and automation could be an advantage
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges
