Production Technician

Our clients are looking to expand their Production Technician team on their early shift and late shift. The production technicians play a key role in setting running and maintaining special purpose manufacturing machinery, working over three business areas. The production technicians work on a shift basis to keep the machines running 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. The successful candidate will have previous manufacturing experience working with automated machines and be willing to learn how we work our unique product line. Main Duties and Responsibilities: The main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: • Setting and running our special purpose automated machinery. • Fault find and repair the special purpose automated machinery. • Compiling quality documentation throughout the run of a job. (first off, last off and in process inspection). • Using ERP system to process the work through to the next step of the manufacturing process. • Using technical drawings to ensure that parts are made to correct specifications. • Using CMM and other measuring equipment. • Using vision systems for quality control during the manufacturing process. • Working to EN9100 standards - strictly following manufacturing processes and procedures. • Patrol inspections - Visually check produced parts to ensure no faults or defects • Working as part of a team to share knowledge and share best practice guidance on machine setting and utilisation. • Observe and support Production Support teams to fix break downs and overcome any issues. • Responsible for FOD and 5S within the manufacturing area.
