Head of Technical Food Manufacturing | Commutable from Gloucester / Cheltenham / Bristol Full time | Site based We're supporting a well‑established food manufacturer with the appointment of a Head of Technical into a key senior leadership position. This role sits on the site leadership team and carries full responsibility for food safety, quality, compliance and technical strategy, working closely with operations to ensure high standards are embedded into daily manufacturing practice. The Role - Lead the site Technical function, acting as the senior authority on food safety, legality and quality. - Own and maintain HACCP, food safety systems, risk assessments and specifications. - Lead and host BRC and customer audits, ensuring the site remains audit ready at all times. - Drive continuous improvement in quality performance and food safety culture. - Work closely with Operations to balance technical rigour with practical manufacturing realities. - Lead, develop and set standards for the Technical and Hygiene teams. About You - Proven experience in a Head of Technical, Technical Manager or senior Technical role within food manufacturing. - Strong working knowledge of BRC standards, HACCP and food safety systems. - Confident leading audits and acting as the senior technical decision‑maker on site. - Hands‑on, visible leadership style with strong people management skills. - Pragmatic and solutions‑focused, comfortable in a fast‑paced production environment.
