Paid to Scale (MPS2 – MPS6)An outstanding primary school in Southwark is seeking a qualified primary teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September, teaching a Year 2 class to cover a maternity leave for the year.
The Role
In this role you will take full responsibility for a Year 2 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons that inspire pupils and support them in reaching their full potential. Pupils demonstrate excellent behaviour and a genuine enthusiasm for learning, creating a positive and inspiring classroom environment, allowing you to focus on high-quality teaching and learning.
Key responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum
Assessing, monitoring and tracking pupil progress to ensure strong outcomes for all learners
Creating a stimulating, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs
Working collaboratively with colleagues across Key Stage 1 to share ideas and best practice
Building positive relationships with parents and carers to support pupil development
Contributing to the wider life of the school, including events, trips and enrichment activitiesThe School
