Humanities Teacher (Geography & History) – KS3 & KS4 Location: Hillingdon, London Salary: £37,870 – £56,154 per annum Contract: Full Time | Temporary | Long-Term Start Date: June 2026 Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary is applicable to candidates with substantial teaching experience equivalent to U3. About the Role Teach Now is seeking a passionate and adaptable Humanities Teacher to join a supportive secondary setting in Hillingdon. This is an exciting opportunity to teach Geography and History across Key Stages 3 and 4, engaging students through creative and meaningful lessons. The role would suit a teacher who is committed to high standards, confident in managing behaviour, and motivated to make a real difference in students academic and personal development. Key Responsibilities • Teach Geography and History across KS3 and KS4 • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet a range of learning needs • Support students of varying abilities, including those who may present additional behavioural needs • Monitor, assess, and track student progress, ensuring strong outcomes • Contribute to the wider Humanities department and school community • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement Requirements • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently working towards it • Experience teaching Humanities subjects to KS3 and KS4 • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment • A flexible, resilient, and proactive approach to teaching • A genuine passion for Geography and History and the ability to inspire students • Strong communication and teamwork skills About the Setting This is a smaller secondary setting with a strong focus on pastoral care, student wellbeing, and academic progress.
