This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with apprentices in the workplace, supporting them to develop their skills, achieve their qualifications and progress into successful engineering careers. You'll play a key role in assessing competence, providing feedback and ensuring high industry standards are met.
What you'll do:
• Assess apprentices in the workplace against qualification standards
• Support learners to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to support progress
• Monitor and track learner progress to ensure timely achievement
• Work closely with employers to support apprentice development
• Maintain accurate assessment records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with awarding body and quality standards
What we're looking for:
• Industry experience in engineering (mechanical, manufacturing or related fields)
• A relevant engineering qualification (Level 3 or above)
• An assessor qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to build effective relationships with learners and employers
• A proactive and supportive approach to learner development
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel
