We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods across various locations.. This role is predominantly low loader work delivering road surfacing equipment across the south west however there can be a large variation between what you are delivering.

*Duties*

* Operate low loader lorries safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
* Load and unload machinery, securing it appropriately for transport to prevent damage during transit.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation, reporting any issues or delays promptly.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any changes that may arise.
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and compliance.
* Nights out will be required along with early / late starts due to the nature of our work.

*Experience*

* Proven experience as a Commercial Driver with a valid HGV licence is essential.
* Previous experience as a HGV driver is highly desirable, particularly in handling low loaders.
* Strong driving skills with a clean driving record, demonstrating reliability and professionalism on the road.
* Familiarity with route planning and navigation systems is advantageous.

* FORS moduals / Npors load and secure would be preffered but training can be provided for the right candidate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
