Role Purpose
The HR Advisor is responsible for providing first-line support to Line Managers on all people-related matters outside the scope of HR Operations. This includes Employee Relations, HRBP Workday actions, HR-driven interventions, and global people processes. The role ensures consistent, accurate, and proactive HR support across all UK sites.
Key Responsibilities
1. Centralised HR Support
- Act as the primary contact for Employee Relations matters (disciplinary, performance, absence, and general HR queries) across all UK sites.
- Provide timely, consistent guidance to line managers on day-to-day people issues.
2. People Processes
- Drive annual HR processes such as performance management and the compensation cycle.
- Oversee HR tasks in Workday, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient data management.
3. Data-Driven HR Services
- Develop tools and generate meaningful data insights for interventions and decision-making.
- Analyse trends using multiple data lenses and feedback channels.
4. Policy Development & Implementation
- Support policy development and continuous improvement of HR guidelines.
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies across all sites.
- Help managers and employees navigate and interpret HR systems and processes.
5. HR Support
- Partner with HR Consultants and Strategic Leads to drive wider strategic people initiatives across the UK.
6. Training & Development
- Work collaboratively to identify training needs.
- Support roll-out and delivery of development initiatives for employees.
7. Change Management
- Assist with the implementation of HR initiatives, supporting communication and change management efforts.
8. Continuous Improvement
- Identify and recommend opportunities to streamline HR processes and enhance efficiency.
9. Recruitment Support
- Act as the initial point of contact for recruitment activities.
- Collaborate with line managers and recruiters to ensure effective vacancy management.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Significant HR generalist experience across a broad remit.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and experience managing Employee Relations cases.
- Experience using HR systems (Workday experience preferred).
- Data-focused mindset with experience creating reports and analysing data.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom).
- Proven stakeholder management capability.
- Fluent English (verbal and written).
Desirable
- CIPD qualified or currently studying toward it.
- Experience working in a global organisation.
