About the role

Do you love highland scenery and outdoor adventure; alongside working in a heavy engineering environment making things safer, smarter and more reliable? We're on the hunt for a Maintenance Department Engineer (Mechanical bias) in delivering planned and reactive maintenance while helping build a strong, reliability‑focused culture on site. This is an office‑based role (Monday to Thursday 07:30–16:00 & Friday 07:30 to 12:30) with real on‑the‑ground impact. You’ll work closely with operations and maintenance teams, leading weekly maintenance plans, coaching engineers and apprentices, and driving improvements across the site. What you’ll be doing: * Leading and delivering weekly maintenance schedules using CMMS * Managing trades, apprentices and external contractors * Championing health, safety and environmental standards * Supporting fault finding, reliability projects and new equipment installs * Coaching and developing a skilled, safety‑first engineering team What we’re looking for: * Strong mechanical maintenance experience in a heavy engineering or process environment * Solid knowledge of H&S legislation and safe systems of work * HNC (or above) in Engineering, or equivalent experience * Confidence leading people and influencing a reliability‑driven mindset * COMAH experience is a bonus Why you’ll love it here: You’ll be joining a site that’s proud of its history and focused on a sustainable future. Oh, and the location? Think mountains, lochs, and space to breathe after work. Not a bad backdrop for your next career move. If this is a job that you can do and you’re curious to learn more, then we’d love to hear from you
