About the role
I’ve engaged with one of the UK’s fastest-growing contractors, covering projects across East Anglia region. You have an opportunity to be their new HSEQ Advisor, joining an organisation with strong employee engagement and the opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving health, safety, quality and environmental standards across a growing portfolio of projects.
Due to the nature of the projects involved, they are looking for an experienced HSQE professional from a construction or civil engineering background who can provide practical support to project teams and management.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing professional HSEQ advice and support to operational and management teams across a range of construction and civil engineering projects.
• Ensuring projects comply with relevant UK legislation, company policies, client requirements and industry best practice.
• Carrying out regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews, identifying areas for improvement and providing solutions
• Assisting with the investigation of accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformances, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
Key competencies include:
• NEBOSH / NCRQ / IOSH or other relevant Health & Safety qualification.
• Experience working on water, utilities, energy or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and construction industry best practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with site teams, management, clients and subcontractors.
• A proactive and practical approach to health, safety, quality and environmental management.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious HSQE professional to join a growing contractor where you will have genuine exposure to senior management and operational teams. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of key HSQE activities, influence project delivery and contribute to the continued development of the company's health, safety, quality and environmental standards. You will earn between £45-55,000 plus package, with excellent opportunities
