Our commitment to the success of our customers sets us apart in the industry.What will you doAs a Boiler Combustion Engineer, you will play a crucial role in combining practical hands-on engineering support with long-term reliability and maintenance development. The successful candidate will work closely with both site teams and engineering colleagues to improve site boiler performance, support operational troubleshooting, and help drive technical improvements across the UK sites.Responsibilities include: Optimise boiler operation to achieve stability, efficiency and emissions according to set standardsMonitor combustion quality and ensure efficient fuel utilisationAnalyse fouling and erosion patterns in the boilers and suggest or develop methods for mitigationInspect boilers during outages and suggest maintenance activities to increase availabilityCoach and train operators to ensure efficient operation of the plantsAssist with boiler and steam chemical controlAssist with compliance with pressure equipment regulationsAnalyse operational plant data to identify process anomalies, degradation, and efficiency lossesPrepare performance diagnostics, test plans, and follow-up reports for plant performance assessmentsParticipate in troubleshooting missions on operating plants, supporting root-cause analyses and recommendation developmentDevelop, maintain and improve core calculation tools, models, and process engineering templatesDocument lessons learned, update guidelines, and contribute to raising team capability through knowledge sharingSupport standardisation efforts, including engineering rules, design bases, and process methodologiesWhat do you bring to the fieldPreferably, you hold an engineering degree and have a strong interest in thermodynamics, mechanical properties, and control and with ample experience and knowledge of power plants or other energy facilities and associated equipment.In addition, you hold:Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly and concisely.Strong analytical skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.Strong collaboration skills Willingness to travel to operating sites within the UK and occasionally internationallyWhat do we offer?We offer a key position with great colleagues and the possibility to bring your skills into play and growth on a personal level.
