About the role

Teacher of RE Start: 1st June - 23rd July (with potential continuation in September) Hours: Full-time Pay: £150.00 - £220.00 per day (dependent on experience) Location: Glossop Premier Education are recruiting for a qualified RE Teacher to join a busy secondary school in Glossop. This is a full-time maternity cover position starting on 1st June and running until the end of the academic year in July, with the possibility of continuing into September. This is a great opportunity to work within a supportive and forward-thinking department, delivering engaging Key Stage 3 RE lessons, alongside some PE teaching responsibilities. The role: You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, ensuring students remain engaged and make strong progress. You will work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning across the school. Daily responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering engaging RE lessons (KS3) and some PE Marking and assessing student work Monitoring and reporting on student progress Managing classroom behaviour effectively Supporting students of varying abilities Contributing to departmental planning and resources Upholding school policies and procedures The ideal candidate will have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential Experience teaching RE in a secondary school setting Ability or willingness to teach some PE Strong subject knowledge Excellent classroom management skills The ability to inspire and motivate students Strong communication and organisational skills A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children How to apply: Click 'Apply' and send your CV to Michaela at Premier Education today.
