This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Economics specialist with leadership experience (or looking to step up) to lead a successful department and make a real impact on student outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Economics department Deliver high-quality Economics lessons at KS4 and KS5 Plan and develop the curriculum in line with national standards Monitor student progress and raise attainment Support and guide teaching staff within the department Contribute to whole-school improvement initiatives Requirements Degree in Economics (essential) QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) Experience teaching Economics at KS4 & KS5 Previous leadership experience or strong potential to lead Excellent subject knowledge and classroom practice Strong organisational and communication skills Compliance Checks Before interview, candidates must provide: Degree certificates Teacher Reference Number (TRN) Professional references Interview Dates Interviews scheduled for week commencing 5th May 2026 Why Work with Principal Education?
