Location: Lambeth
Salary: Up to £95,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days on-site, 2 days remote
Holiday: 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Start Date: June 2026
About the Opportunity
We are working on behalf of a successful and growing Multi-Academy Trust to appoint a Chief Finance & Operations Officer (CFOO). This is a confidential appointment and an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing organisation at a key stage in its strategic development.
The Trust has a strong track record of delivering high-quality education and is entering a new phase of growth. This role will play a critical part in supporting that journey, ensuring operational excellence and financial sustainability across the organisation.
The Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the CFOO will be a key member of the executive leadership team with responsibility for leading all business and operational functions across the Trust.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the Trust’s financial strategy, planning and reporting
* Overseeing estates, facilities and capital projects
* Managing IT and digital infrastructure
* Ensuring robust compliance, risk management and governance
* Leading procurement and contract management
* Overseeing payroll and operational service delivery
The CFOO will work closely with school leaders, ensuring that central services provide effective, proactive support and enable schools to focus on educational outcomes.
The Candidate
We are seeking a strategic and experienced senior leader with:
* Proven experience in a senior finance and/or operations role within a Multi-Academy Trust or comparable organisation
* Strong financial acumen and commercial awareness
* A track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
* The ability to operate both strategically and operationally
* A collaborative approach and a clear commitment to supporting education
