Based on Phoenix Park near Nottingham, we are looking for a Solar

Installations Manager to join our team.

We are MCS accredited and currently deliver Solar PV and battery installations through subcontracted supply chain. You will be responsible for building internal delivery capacity; shaping processes, recruiting qualified operatives to carry out Solar PV and battery installations, implementing a compliance framework and technical standards. You will act as the Nominated Technical Person for Community Home Solutions.

This role will be hybrid between the office and on-site. Our sites are generally within a 2-hour radius of our Nottingham Office.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation of Solar PV and battery storage. The role requires someone who is comfortable operating strategically and also being hands-on on site; someone who can deal with site operatives, internal stakeholders, Local Authority clients and domestic customers. You will be highly focused on compliance and quality standards.

• Build internal delivery capacity of Solar PV installers
• Identification of material suppliers and formulation of kit lists
• Development and oversight of operational process from Technical Survey > Design > Install > Quality Assurance. You will ensure that jobs are delivered on time, safely and to MCS standards
• Provide technical oversight on system design
• Develop and implement technical standards, QA processes and installation procedures
• Lead on recruitment of an internal delivery team of qualified operatives; electricians and roofers
• Drive continuous improvement and enhanced customer experiences
• Act as a central link between the office, Site Management Teams, installation teams, subcontractors and customers
• Manage installations to comply with MCS, DNO, HSE and building/electrical regulations

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential

• Proven experience in Solar PV and battery installation
• Strong understanding of MCS standards and audit requirements
• 18th Edition – Second Amendment certified
• Experience working on domestic or social housing projects
• Experience of effectively managing internal and external stakeholders
• Organised, practical and xwzovoh confident in solving problems on site
• Full UK drivers licence

Desirable

• CSCS card
• Experience or understanding of domestic Air Source Heat Pumps

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary:£55,000 - £75,000 per year subject to experience

LOCATIONS

• Nottingham, NG8 6BA: This role is a mix of site / office based.
• The position will involve some travel, including occasional overnight stays
