Payroll Co-ordinator (Temporary)
3–6 Month Contract | £14.50+ | Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm
Pertemps Recruitment is working on behalf of one of our clients to recruit a Payroll Co‑ordinator for a temporary contract, initially for 3–6 months.
The scope of this role may be subject to change depending on the experience of the successful candidate.
The Payroll Co‑ordinator will assist with the timely, accurate, and confidential processing of company payrolls and payroll bureaus, along with supporting the administration of employee benefits.
Key Duties
Support end-to-end payroll processing across multiple payrolls and bureaus
Set up new starters in Cintra and check transfers to Softworks
Maintain and update employee records, including job details and tax codes
Import payroll data, calculate hours, bonuses, and additional payments/deductions
Assist with accurate calculation of pay, holiday pay, sick pay, overtime, and bonuses
Ensure payroll activity complies with HMRC and statutory requirements
Act as first poInt of contact for payroll queries, escalating where necessary
Maintain attendance and sickness absence records
Prepare payroll reports and journals for finance and management teams
About You
Previous experience in a payroll or payroll support role
Good understanding of payroll processes and HMRC compliance
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Confident working to deadlines in a temporary role
The Details
Salary: £27,000+ per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Temporary (3–6 months initially)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (1-hour lunch)
