Mechanical Fitter (Mechanical assembler) c£32k Bonus CambridgeshireABJ76516 An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Fitter / Assembler with experience in hydraulics to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing company in Cambridgeshire.

This is a varied, hands-on role within a busy factory environment, working on a wide range of production and fabrication machinery.

This Mechanical Multi-skilled Assembler would work on various types of assembly and fitting to a high standard for equipment used in the processing industry.

Key Responsibilities To assemble and fit all aspects of manufacturing components to a very high standard used to produce stainless steel processing equipment.

You must be able to work within a team, either in the main production area or if applicable on a clients site and be aware of all aspects including Health & Safety, Production, Inspection and Discipline.

Qualifications and experience Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on training Recognised engineering qualification (City & Guilds, BTEC or similar) Mechanical fitter / assembler experience within manufacturing, engineering or heavy industry Experience in mechanical fitting/stripping and rebuilding.

Experience in building air pneumatics.

Experience in building and fitting bearing housings.

Candidates need to be able to read and have good understanding of engineering drawings.

Be proficient with the use of various hand tools and mechanical equipment.

Have significant experience of building special purpose machinery.

Experience in Hydraulics.

Maintain good housekeeping/good order, motivation and discipline while working in the factory or on site.
