This is a varied, hands-on role within a busy factory environment, working on a wide range of production and fabrication machinery.
This position would suit a practical engineer who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance and keeping production running efficiently.
While some basic electrical knowledge is useful, the role is primarily mechanically focused .
Permanent position | Fully onsite / car required to get to the site Key Responsibilities Maintenance and repair of site machinery including mills, lathes, drills and sheet metal fabrication equipment Planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support Installation and assembly of new machinery and equipment General site maintenance including basic electrical work and plumbing Supporting continuous improvement and quality engineering standards across the site Working with hand tools, polishers, heaters and general workshop equipment Skills & Experience Required Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on training Recognised engineering qualification (City & Guilds, BTEC or similar) Mechanical maintenance experience within manufacturing, engineering or heavy industry Strong mechanical fitting and fault-finding skills Experience working with machine shop equipment (milling, turning, lathes) Basic electrical knowledge advantageous but not essential Proactive, xwzovoh practical and reliable approach Salary & Benefits £18.50 per hour (approx.
