Responsibilities:

• Prepare statutory and non-statutory accounts, annual accounts and supporting tax computations for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

• Take ownership of audit assignments, working closely with Managers, Directors and Partners to ensure audits are completed to the required standard and in line with agreed budgets and deadlines.

• Prepare audit files, ensuring work is accurate, well documented and compliant with relevant standards and procedures.

• Work on a variety of audits and specialist assignments, including charity audits, independent examinations and pension scheme audits.

• Prepare audit adjustments and journals, applying a sound understanding of accounting principles.

• Delegate work to junior team members where appropriate, providing supervision, reviewing completed work and supporting their ongoing development.

• Build strong client relationships by providing a professional and responsive service, managing expectations and dealing with day-to-day queries promptly.

• Manage allocated assignments efficiently, monitoring budgets, recording any variations and ensuring work is completed within agreed timescales.
