Ashton Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Logistics Administrator to join our client, a well-established organisation based in the Duncrue area of Belfast. Position: Logistics Administrator Location: Belfast Duration: Temporary - Permanent Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 per annum Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 Our client is a leading, science-led organisation within the animal nutrition and farm management sector. They support food producers through innovative, sustainable solutions that enhance animal health, productivity and overall performance. With a strong track record of translating research into practical applications, they provide tailored feed strategies, additives and digital tools to optimise livestock production across multiple species. The Role This is a key logistics execution role focused on outbound operations, dispatch preparation and transport coordination. You will play a central part in day-to-day operations, ensuring all shipments are accurately prepared, documented and dispatched in line with agreed transport plans. Working in a fast-paced environment with strict cut-off times, you will be responsible for maintaining accuracy, meeting deadlines and proactively resolving issues to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities Transport & Dispatch Coordination Ensure all outbound goods are transport-ready by preparing delivery notes, distribution orders (DOs) and dispatch documentation Book transport in line with agreed plans and ensure all shipments are accurately closed on internal systems Warehouse & Picking Coordination Prepare and issue picking lists and documentation for warehouse teams Ensure instructions are clear, accurate and aligned to operational requirements 3PL & Haulier Management Book shipments via haulier portals and manage groupage requirements Communicate booking details effectively with internal and external stakeholders Systems & Administration Maintain accurate records across ERP systems (M3), Excel and transport portals Manage all dispatch-related administration with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance Act as a key point of contact via Teams, phone and email during allocated periods Operational Visibility & Communication Maintain and update transport plan boards to reflect real-time status Provide regular updates to stakeholders to ensure alignment across teams Continuous Improvement Identify recurring issues, process gaps and inefficiencies Provide feedback and support improvements across logistics processes Compliance & General Duties Ensure all activities comply with safety, quality and operational standards Support wider warehouse and logistics functions as required Essential Criteria Previous experience in logistics, warehouse or transport administration Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy Ability to follow structured processes in a time-critical environment Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines Confident using ERP systems (e.g. M3), Excel and transport/booking portals Ashton Recruitment is acting as an Employment Business.
