Job title: SEN Teaching Assistant Job The Education Specialists are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Manchester, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. This is a full-time, long-term position, working with pupils who require additional support with learning, communication and personal development. The school caters for pupils with a variety of needs and provides a highly supportive environment with experienced staff and access to specialist training, making it an excellent opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant looking to develop their experience in a specialist setting. SEN Teaching Assistant benefits: • Competitive daily rate (£85 – £110 per day, dependent on experience) • PAYE paid weekly • Long-term stability • Access to specialist SEN training and CPD opportunities • Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement • £150 refer a friend scheme (T&Cs apply) SEN Teaching Assistant role requirements: • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within an SEN setting • Experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD) • Strong communication, patience and resilience • Ability to build positive and consistent relationships with pupils • A proactive and adaptable approach • Willingness to support with personal care if required (training provided) • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will: • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups • Assist with both learning activities and personal development • Support pupils with communication, behaviour and engagement • Help create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment • Work closely with teachers, SENCO and wider support staff • Adapt support strategies to meet individual pupil needs Interested in this SEN Teaching Assistant job in Manchester?
