Location: Blackley, Manchester (M9)

Salary: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour

Job Description: Are you a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in an 'Outstanding' specialist setting? Randstad Education is currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team at an SEN SpecialistHigh School in Blackley.

This role involves providing critical 1:1 support for a student with complex needs, ensuring they can access their learning in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 academic and emotional support to a student with complex SEN.

  • Implement de-escalation strategies and promote positive behaviour.

  • Assist with personal care and sensory integration activities.

  • Collaborate with the class teacher and multidisciplinary team to follow EHCP goals.

Requirements:

  • Must have an Enhanced Child & Adult DBS (on the Update Service).

  • Previous experience supporting students with PMLD, ASC, or severe learning difficulties.

  • Available for the full duration of the assignment (Full-time, Mon-Fri).

  • Strong communication skills and a "care-first" approach.

  • Mininum 6 months UK schools experience.
