Toolmaker Location: Worcester Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 Depending on experience Shift: Days Role 5S Recruitment Limited are working with a highly respected and long-established precision manufacturing business in the Worcester area who are looking to recruit an experienced Toolmaker to join their established Toolroom team. The Toolmaker Opportunity This position would suit a fully skilled, time-served Toolmaker who enjoys precision engineering, takes pride in high-quality workmanship and is comfortable working independently within a busy manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be involved in the manufacture, fitting, assembly and maintenance of high-precision injection mould tooling using a range of manual toolroom machinery and hand-finishing techniques. What’s on Offer * £40,000 – £50,000 salary depending on experience * Company pension scheme * Life insurance * Health & wellbeing support programme * Free on-site parking * Modern and well-equipped toolroom * Clean and organised working environment * Supportive management team * Opportunity to work on high-quality precision tooling projects The Role * Safely operate manual milling machines, grinders and lathes * Build, fit, assemble and polish tooling and dies * Work from detailed engineering drawings * Use measuring equipment and CMM machinery to ensure tooling accuracy * Carry out bench fitting and hand-finishing work * Support tooling modifications, repairs and continuous improvement activities * Work closely with Toolroom and Manufacturing teams * Maintain excellent housekeeping and 5S standards * Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures Requirements * Fully skilled, time-served Toolmaker * Strong manual machining experience including milling, grinding and turning * Experience working to extremely tight tolerances * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Confident using measuring equipment and inspection tools * Experience using CMM equipment would be advantageous * Self-motivated with the ability to work under own initiative * Excellent attention to detail and quality standards * Positive and professional approach to work This is a genuine opportunity to join a highly regarded engineering business that values traditional toolmaking skills alongside modern manufacturing standards.
