About the role

Management Accountant (FTC 3–6 Months) Newport (Office-Based) 35 hours per week Up to £50,000 DOE Immediate Start Available Môrwell Talent Solutions is proud to be partnering with a highly successful and fast-growing organisation as they enter a pivotal phase of expansion following a major acquisition. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to play a key role in shaping the financial structure of a newly acquired business and supporting its integration into a larger, established group. If you enjoy working in a dynamic, hands-on environment and want to make a tangible impact from day one, this role offers exactly that. The Opportunity This is not a “business as usual” role. You’ll be at the heart of a live acquisition, taking ownership of financial processes, implementing structure, and helping to bring clarity and control during a period of change. You will: * Support the business through a key acquisition and integration phase * Build and implement robust financial processes and reporting frameworks * Deliver meaningful insights to support commercial decision-making * Work closely with senior stakeholders, including the Group Financial Controller and operational leadership Key Responsibilities: * Provide hands-on accounting support throughout the acquisition process * Establish weekly sales and margin reporting aligned to group standards * Prepare and develop monthly management accounts, including KPI reporting * Implement and improve month-end close processes (journals, accruals, prepayments, cut-off) * Review and enhance financial controls, policies, and procedures * Collaborate with on-site teams to embed best practice and improve processes * Support the integration of the acquired entity into group reporting About You * Experienced Management Accountant (or similar) with strong technical grounding * ACCA / CIMA qualified preferred, but strong QBE candidates with relevant experience will absolutely be considered * Proven experience implementing processes and improving reporting structures * Exposure to acquisitions, integrations, or fast-paced environments is highly advantageous * Confident working in a hands-on, evolving business * Strong communicator, able to build relationships across finance and operations * Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is beneficial What’s on Offer * Opportunity to play a key role in a high-profile acquisition * A genuinely impactful position where your work will shape the future of the business * Immediate start with potential for extension * Travel to London (fully expensed) * Collaborative, entrepreneurial environment If you’re looking for a role where you can add real value, take ownership, and make a visible impact quickly, we’d love to hear from you.
