Chartered Building Surveyor50,000 - 60,000PermanentSouth East London, LondonCommercialEducationA leading multidisciplinary property and built environment consultancy is looking to appoint a Chartered Building Surveyor to join its growing London Building Surveying team.This is an excellent opportunity for an MRICS Building Surveyor to work with prestigious clients across commercial, retail and education property portfolios, delivering a broad range of professional and project-based surveying services.The role offers a varied workload, combining professional building surveying, project delivery, client management and business development, with the opportunity to support and mentor junior members of the team.The RoleAs a Chartered Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for:Providing professional building surveying advice to key clients.Managing projects from inception through to completion.Preparing specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation.Administering JCT contracts.Undertaking condition surveys and defect analysis.Delivering dilapidations and reinstatement cost assessments.Providing party wall advice and consultancy.Developing project briefs with clients and senior colleagues.Building and maintaining strong client relationships.Supporting business development and winning new instructions.Assisting with project financial management.Mentoring and supporting junior surveyors.About YouThe successful candidate will be:MRICS qualified with a Building Surveying background.Experienced in professional building surveying.Experienced across commercial, retail or education property.Confident dealing directly with clients and managing projects.Experienced with JCT contract administration.Technically strong, commercially aware and a good communicator.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Experienced with NBS Chorus would be advantageous but is not essential.In possession of a full UK driving licence and willing to travel when required.Why Apply?This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing Building Surveying team and work with a prestigious client base across a diverse range of property portfolios.You’ll have the opportunity to develop your career, take ownership of client relationships and projects, and play an active role in the continued growth of the London Building Surveying team.
