EHS Advisor

OCS are currently working with an international construction company that delivers main contracting, construction management, design and build, and high-end fit-out projects across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe. It specialises in complex and mission-critical environments, including data centres, life sciences, commercial offices, aviation, healthcare and industrial facilities. The Role This client is seeking a an Environmental Health & Safety Advisor who will be responsible for establishing, developing and directing the implementation of the HS&E strategy on Projects while ensuring that a Positive Safety Culture is maintained, and that the client are established as industry leaders in relation to Health, Safety and Environmental compliance. Role Responsibilities * Health & Safety Guidance: Implement company EHS policies and provide guidance on all health and safety matters. * Policies, Procedures & Documentation: Assist in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining EHS documentation. * Inspections, Audits & Reporting Conduct site inspections and audits and prepare reports. * Risk Management & Incident Reporting: Complete risk assessments and ensure incidents and accidents are investigated. * Training & Communication: Identify training needs and deliver EHS training sessions. * Subcontractor & Stakeholder Management: Ensure subcontractor compliance with EHS standards The Candidate * Third level qualification in EHS or a related discipline. * 3+ years’ experience working on large scale commercial/construction projects. * Highly organised and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. * Conscientious, highly focused and detail orientated. * Self-starter and the ability to build relationships with all stakeholders. * Full clean driver’s license preferable. * Excellent communication skills.
