Quality Assurance Engineer – Birmingham Up to £45,000 (DOE) Birmingham Permanent Full-time with early finish on Fridays We are working on behalf of a well-established, family-run manufacturing business based in Birmingham who specialise in high-quality metal components for the luxury interiors market. The Role We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join a growing technical team. You will play a key role in ensuring all manufactured components meet strict quality standards, supporting both production and engineering teams to maintain excellence across all processes. This role would suit someone with a strong background in machining, metals, and quality systems who enjoys problem-solving and working in a hands-on manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Inspect and test products to ensure compliance with engineering specifications Monitor production processes and apply corrective actions where required Maintain and update quality documentation, including inspection reports and procedures Carry out root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventative actions Work closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve quality issues Support and deliver training on quality standards and procedures Ensure adherence to SOPs and internal quality systems What We’re Looking For Strong experience in a quality engineering or QA role within manufacturing Good understanding of metals, machining processes, and tooling Proficient in CAD software Strong knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability Confident communicator with strong teamwork skills Experience producing technical documentation for manufacturingDesirable Experience Experience with Autodesk Vault Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems Background in mechanical engineering or a related discipline Exposure to shop floor machining or hardware manufacturing environments What’s on Offer Competitive salary up to £45,000 depending on experience Early finish on Fridays Opportunity to join a highly respected manufacturing business Supportive and values-driven working culture Long-term career development within a growing team If you are a detail-driven Quality Engineer looking for your next challenge in a precision manufacturing environment, we would like to hear from you.
