Job Title: Spanish-Speaking Support Worker – TBI Experience Location: To be confirmed Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour + Hours: 6 hours per day, 6 days per week Job Type: Part-time / Regular hours We are looking for an experienced Support Worker to provide 1:1 support to a gentleman in his 60s who has a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). The role is 6 hours per day, 6 days per week, supporting with daily routine, independence, community access, and overall wellbeing. Fluent Spanish is essential for this role, as communication and relationship-building will be a key part of the support provided. Key Responsibilities: Provide calm, person-centred support in line with the gentleman’s needs, routines, and preferences. Support with daily structure, motivation, emotional wellbeing, and independence. Promote safe community access and engagement in meaningful activities. Use clear communication when supporting with memory, fatigue, mood changes, or emotional regulation. Observe and report any concerns relating to wellbeing, risk, or changes in support needs. Work professionally with family members, case managers, and wider professionals where required. Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and accurate communication at all times. Requirements: Experience supporting individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury / Acquired Brain Injury. Must be fluent in Spanish. Previous experience in complex care, rehabilitation, brain injury, or community support is highly desirable. Calm, patient, reliable, and confident working 1:1. Strong communication skills and ability to build trust. Understanding of safeguarding, risk awareness, and person-centred support. Enhanced DBS desirable, or willingness to complete one.
