Female Waking Night Support Worker

Pay rate: Waking Night £14.18 per hour
Shift Pattern: 1 x12 hour shift -20:00pm - 8:00am
We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and proactive Support Workers to join a dedicated team providing 24-hour support for a young adult living in their own home with Global Development Delay, Autism, visual impairment (registered blind), and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.
The person you will be supporting enjoys baking, cooking, and going on outings in the community. They attend a local day centre once a week and share their home with a much-loved indoor cat, so you must not be allergic to animals .
Enriching activities will be an important factor in your support, and you will bring a wonderfully empathetic approach to truly make a difference to this persons life . You will also need to bring previous experience with you in the following:
Learning Disabilities
Autism
Behaviours that can be perceived as challenging

What will your shift involve?
Providing high-quality care on a 1:1 basis
Providing personal care and support with daily living tasks, including showering
Supporting with routines, community access, and attending appointments or day centre activities
Encouraging and enabling independence in a safe and supportive way
Working collaboratively with family and other professionals involved
Ensuring a calm, structured, and understanding approach to behaviour and emotional needs
